M.A Khoodoruth Marketing Co. Ltd ("we", "the store") operates the MAK Club mobile application and the online store at makhoodoruth.com. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and the choices you have. It applies to the app and the website alike.
Data we collect

We do not collect location data, contacts, photos, or the content of your device. The app requests the camera only if you scan a code, and the image is never stored or transmitted.
Payments
Card payments and wallet top-ups are processed by our payment provider on its own secure pages. We never see, store or process your card number. We receive only the transaction reference and its result.
Notifications
Push notifications are delivered through Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google). The token identifying your device is stored on our servers so we can reach you. You can revoke notifications at any time in your device settings; the token then stops being valid.
How we use your data
- To operate your account, orders, deliveries and loyalty wallet.
- To inform you about your orders and, if you allow notifications, about store news and offers.
- To meet legal obligations, in particular VAT and accounting records.
- To secure the service and prevent fraud.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for third-party advertising.
Who has access
Access is limited to authorised staff of M.A Khoodoruth Marketing Co. Ltd and to service providers acting on our instructions: our hosting provider, our payment provider, and Google (Firebase) for notification delivery. Data may be processed on servers located outside Mauritius by these providers, under their own security commitments.
How long we keep it
Account data is kept while your account is active. Invoices and accounting records are kept for the period required by Mauritian law (currently seven years). Notification tokens are removed when they become invalid or when you delete your account.
Your rights
Under the Mauritian Data Protection Act 2017 you may request access to your data, its correction, its deletion, or object to its use for marketing. Write to info@makhoodoruth.com and we will respond within the legal timeframe. You may also lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Office of Mauritius.
Children
The service is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly create accounts for them; if such an account is reported to us, we delete it.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top always shows the current version, and material changes will be announced in the app.
